Cheddar Gorge is an area of Somerset, England with spectacular caves and climbing challenges and many walking opportunities. When I came round this corner, everything was in full shadow from the towering cliffs except the area where the sun splashed across the grass and rocks on the opposite side. The tree silhouette stood out as a strong element in this stunning landscape and inspired my painting.
