
'Crown Jewels'
Commisioned by The Crown in Wells for the charity project 'Swans of Wells', in 2012 in tribute to the swans that live in the grounds of the medieval Bishop's Palace in Wells. they are renowned for ringing a bell on the Gatehouse to ask for food.
The piece contains the various houses of the monarchy of the United Kingdom on scrolls within the swan's wings and the outside is decorated with over a hundred different designs of crowns, using gold paint and tiny gemstones.
